Andrew represents debtors, creditors and other parties in complex business bankruptcy cases and out-of-court restructurings.

Andrew is experienced in a wide array of corporate restructurings and bankruptcies.  As both lead and co-counsel, Andrew has represented clients in many of Delaware’s most significant chapter 11 bankruptcy cases over the last decade. 

Andrew has experience representing clients in a range of industries, including, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, casino gaming, retail, automotive, media, commercial real estate, e-commerce, alternative energy, mining, professional sports and airline, among others.

He represents debtors, ad hoc groups, DIP lenders, creditors, asset purchasers and other parties in prepackaged and traditional bankruptcies, financings and section 363 sales.

He is recognized for his work in the restructuring field by industry publications including Chambers USA, IFLR1000, and Delaware Super Lawyers.

Andrew is a former judicial law clerk to the Honorable Christopher S. Sontchi of the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Co-counsel to a major sports television network in the chapter 11 bankruptcy cases of The Los Angeles Dodgers.

Co-counsel to fifteen of the world’s largest original equipment manufacturers in connection with the complex US bankruptcy cases of Takata.

Co-counsel to Seventy Seven Energy, a diversified oilfield services company, in its “lightning-quick” pre-packaged chapter 11 cases.  Seventy Seven Energy successfully emerged from bankruptcy in five weeks, then one of the fastest chapter 11 restructurings in Delaware.

Co-counsel to Fred’s, a leading retailer with over five-hundred general merchandise and pharmacy stores across the southeast United States, in its chapter 11 bankruptcy case.

Co-counsel to Southcross Energy Partners, a master limited partnership providing natural gas gathering, processing, treating, compression and transportation services, in its chapter 11 bankruptcy cases.  Southcross successfully reorganized around its core business through a chapter 11 plan. 

Co-counsel to Achaogen, a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of innovative antibiotic treatments, in its chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. 

Co-counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the bankruptcy of EdgeMarc Energy Holdings, an exploration and production company engaged in the acquisition, production, exploration and development of natural gas and natural gas liquids in the Appalachian Basin.

Co-counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the bankruptcy of Abeinsa and, following confirmation of Abeinsa’s chapter 11 plan, representation of the liquidation trustee.

Co-counsel to a major television network in the chapter 11 bankruptcy cases of The Weinstein Company.

Co-counsel to Venoco, an independent energy company primarily focused on the acquisition, exploration, production and development of oil and gas properties in California, in its chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and, following confirmation of Venoco’s chapter 11 plan, representation of the liquidating trustee. 

Co-counsel to a major aerospace company, as DIP lender to Vector Launch, and successful purchaser of Vector's intellectual property assets pursuant to section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code.

Co-counsel to Orexigen Therapeutics Inc., a biopharmaceutical company, in its chapter 11 bankruptcy filing and successful section 363 sale as a going concern.

Co-counsel to major secured lender in all aspects of the chapter 11 bankruptcy of rare earth mineral company Molycorp.

Co-counsel to Lily Robotics, a tech start-up that sought to develop a self-navigating drone, in its chapter 11 bankruptcy cases.  Lily Robotics successfully confirmed a chapter 11 bankruptcy plan that enabled it to refund tens of thousands of pre-bankruptcy customer deposits.
