Apoorva R. Gokare

Apoorva is an associate with the Corporate Counseling group.

Her practice focuses on corporate governance issues involving the Delaware General Corporation Law, with emphasis on complex transactional work including mergers and acquisitions, preferred stock investments, and other financing transactions involving private and venture-backed companies. Her work often involves fiduciary duties of directors, controlling stockholders, and board committees.

In law school, Apoorva was a research assistant to a legal research and legal writing professor. She served as the International Student Representative of the Iowa Student Bar Association and Co-president of the South Asian Law Student Association. She also participated in the Organization of Women Law Students and Staff; and the College of Law Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee.

She gained legal experience during an internship at an Atlanta-based law firm and has worked on compliance and corporate governance areas during her law school in India. She is also qualified to practice law in India.
