Morris Nichols Represents UPG Enterprises in Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Filing

On September 22, 2026, steel distributor UPG Enterprises filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois to facilitate its ongoing sale process.

The Chapter 11 process is expected to provide interested parties with an opportunity to submit offers for the company’s assets. UPG has received a commitment for $6.1 million in debtor-in-possession financing to support its operations during the Chapter 11 process, subject to court approval.

Morris Nichols attorneys Derek Abbott, Matthew Talmo, Tamara Mann, and Liam Davis serve as debtors’ counsel alongside Vedder Price.
