Sara Gelsinger Selected to 2022 Delaware Business Times 40 Under 40
Delaware Business Times has selected Morris Nichols partner Sara Gelsinger as one of its “40 Under 40” for 2022. The annual DBT40 awards recognize Delaware’s best and brightest young professionals, all under age 40, who are making a difference with their intelligence, initiative, and innovation.
Sara is an experienced Delaware commercial and transactional attorney. With a focus on alternative entity law, she counsels Delaware-domiciled private equity and venture capital funds and other private and public LLCs, limited partnerships and statutory trusts on strategic transactions, including acquisitions, sales, reorganizations and internal restructurings.
Active in the legal community, she serves in the Delaware State Bar Association as Vice-Chairperson of the Commercial Law Section. Since her start as the Section’s Secretary in 2019, she has presented on commercial law developments and published on matters of commercial law that are relevant to our Sections’ members, including in the Delaware Law Review. As a member of the American Bar Association, Sara participates in various committees of the ABA’s Business Law Section, including the Private Equity & Venture Capital, LLCs Partnerships and Unincorporated Entities, and Legal Opinions committees.
At Morris Nichols, Sara proudly serves on the Diversity Committee, co-chairs the firm’s Women’s Initiative, and co-leads the Pro Bono/Community Activity Committee.
The DBT40 Awards program recognizes 40 of Delaware’s dynamic leaders under 40 years old, for their professional accomplishments, leadership abilities, and community contributions. Individuals are nominated from all size and industry categories, public or private. Each year, a select group of judges made up of local business leaders and past winners of the DBT40 Awards program select the winners. Sara will join her fellow DBT40 honorees at an awards ceremony on September 28, 2022 at the Executive Banquet & Conference Center in Newark, Delaware.
