Wilmington, DE (December 11, 2020) – Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP is proud to announce its $50,000 donation to the Delaware Community Foundation’s COVID Response Fund, an organization dedicated to distributing charitable donations to a variety of organizations throughout Delaware. The donation reflects the law firm’s commitment to the Delaware community.

“Together, we are confident that our donation will help make a positive impact throughout Delaware this holiday season,” said Andrew M. Johnston, chair of Morris Nichols’ executive committee.

The COVID-19 Strategic Response Fund at the DCF targets the evolving needs of the state’s most-impacted communities for the longer-term needs of our community. Since its launch on March 18, the fund has awarded more than $3.4 million to more than 150 Delaware nonprofits providing services to communities throughout the state.

This fund is part of the broader Delaware COVID-19 Emergency Response Initiative by the Delaware Community Foundation, United Way of Delaware, Philanthropy Delaware and the Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement to coordinate with other nonprofits, businesses, government agencies and individuals to ensure a comprehensive response to COVID-19 throughout the state.

In spring 2020, as the pandemic’s devastating toll on Delawareans became apparent, Morris Nichols collected contributions from its personnel to donate 409 pounds of food and $11,330 to the Food Bank of Delaware to assist those in need. The firm also continues its financial support of the Combined Campaign for Justice, which helps provide critical and necessary civil legal assistance for low-income and disadvantaged Delawareans.
