Founded in 1837 as the Wilmington Board of Trade, the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce is the oldest and most influential business advocacy organization in the state. While the State Chamber counts Delaware’s largest companies - Bank of America, DuPont, Christiana Care and AstraZeneca - among its members, the vast majority of State Chamber members are companies with 150 employees or less. Not only are small businesses the backbone of Delaware’s economy, they are the heart of the State Chamber.
