Today, legal analytics platform Lex Machina unveiled its 2022 Patent Litigation Report. The annual report looks at trends in federal district courts over a three-year period.

Morris Nichols is mentioned as one of the most-active US law firms by district court cases filed, appearing among firms representing plaintiffs (#5), as well as firms representing defendants (#3).

The report distinguishes Morris Nichols as the only firm appearing among both top 10 lists, noting, as local counsel in the District of Delaware, they generally do not represent High-Volume Plaintiffs, while they do defend against them in 42% of their cases representing defendants.

By focusing on our IP litigation practice in Delaware, and serving both clients and co-counsel, Morris Nichols is uniquely positioned on both sides of the “v.” We have successfully litigated cases involving products and services in all areas of technology and for clients across a broad range of industries, including branded pharmaceutical companies in Hatch-Waxman and Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) litigation.
