Morris Nichols Among Top Firms in Lex Machina’s 2026 Patent Litigation Report

Lex Machina has released its 2026 Patent Litigation Report, providing an analysis of US patent litigation trends from 2023 through 2025.

Morris Nichols is among the most active firms in the report and is the only firm to appear on Lex Machina’s lists of the top ten firms for both plaintiff-side and defense-side patent litigation. During the three-year period, Morris Nichols handled 279 plaintiff-side patent cases and 173 defense-side matters.

The data reflects the breadth of Morris Nichols’ intellectual property litigation practice and the firm’s experience representing clients on both sides of patent disputes in the Delaware courts. This experience provides the firm with a nuanced understanding of the considerations facing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex patent litigation.
