Client Alert

On January 5, 2024, the US District Court for the District of Delaware announced that Judge Jennifer L. Hall has been sworn in as a district judge. She will begin hearing cases effective immediately.

Judge Hall was confirmed by the US Senate to be the next Delaware District Judge in October 2023. Having served as a magistrate judge since June 2019, Judge Hall has already presided over disputes in hundreds of patent cases.

She takes the bench after Judge Richard Andrews moved to Senior Status on January 1, 2024. Because Judge Andrews previously stated that he intends to retain a full caseload, Judge Hall’s elevation to district judge means there will be five district judges to handle a complex docket.
