PLI Shareholder Activism 2026: The Old, the New, and the Unexpected
The Practising Law Institute (PLI) hosts the program, “Shareholder Activism 2026: The Old, the New, and the Unexpected,” on September 22, 2026, with both in-person and virtual attendance options available. The program provides participants with practical insights to help navigate upcoming proxy seasons. Morris Nichols partners Kyle Pinder and John DiTomo participate in the program.
Kyle serves as program co-chair and speaks on two panels. He joins “Engagement, Proxy Contests and Settlements,” from 9:15 am to 10:15 am ET, which examines trends from the 2025-2026 proxy season and how these developments may shape activism strategies heading into 2027. He also participates in “Shareholder Proposals and Non-traditional Activism,” from 3:45 pm to 4:45 pm, which explores recent shareholder proposal developments and emerging non-traditional activist trends.
John moderates the session, “Shareholder Activism Litigation,” from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Panelists will discuss recent shareholder proposal cases and strategies to mitigate legal risk during activist campaigns.
