Prior to joining the firm in 1993, Maryellen received her J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.  With an academic background in the sciences to compliment her work on complex, technical patent cases, she received an M.A. in biology from Columbia University in 1990 and B.S. in biology from Lehigh University in 1988.

If confirmed, Ms. Noreika will fill one of two vacancies on the bench.
