Lex Machina 2016 Patent Litigation Review: Morris Nichols Again Led Delaware Firms in Patent Litigation Activity

Wilmington, DE (March 7, 2017) - Lex Machina has released its 2016 Patent Litigation Year in Review report. Using data compiled via Lex Machina’s Legal Analytics® platform, the fourth annual study analyzes filing trends, key decisions and timing to key events, as well as settlement rates, damages and other U.S. patent litigation data over the past year. 

In its key findings on law firm activity, Lex Machina reported that among Delaware firms, Morris Nichols again “tops the list” with 181 cases filed in 2016. This accounts for an impressive 40% of all patent litigation cases filed in Delaware in 2016.
