Junior/Mid-level Trusts & Estates Associate
Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP seeks a junior/mid-level trusts and estates associate with 2+ years of experience. The candidate will work with a partner and senior associate to advise high net worth individuals and their advisors on complex domestic estate and tax planning, trust structuring, and estate and trust administration.
The Morris Nichols Trusts & Estates practice represents high-profile Delaware corporate trustees, beneficiaries, law firms and individuals throughout the country on all matters involving Delaware trusts and estates, emphasizing the unique advantages of Delaware trust law, including directed trusts, dynasty trusts, asset protection trusts, and all aspects of trust administration. If not licensed to practice in DE, you must sit for the next bar examination administration. Experience drafting complex trust documents is essential. Must have exposure to and experience in drafting, advising on, and implementing sophisticated wealth planning strategies. Should have knowledge of and ability to research and apply rules governing income taxation of trusts and estates, estate and generation-skipping transfer (GST) tax.
The candidate should have strong academic credentials (JD required; LL.M. preferred). Must have strong drafting, writing, research, and communication skills and ability to balance a large number of competing priorities. Must have attention to detail and should be a team player.
